Wen is a Chinese-American filmmaker based in Los Angeles. After immigrating to the US at the age of 5, he quickly picked up the camera and made video his 1st language. In 2009 he was featured on MovieMaker Magazine, and made it to IMDb’s top 60 Asian American Filmmakers. In 2014, Wen's short film ‘Cafe Glass’ premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. In 2019, his first feature, ‘Last Sunrise,’ (produced by Alibaba Pictures & Youku) won over 10 major awards, making it the first Chinese film to be awarded at several international genre film festivals. Wen's screenplay, "M0Y1," won the best screenplay award at the 2020 China Sci-Fi Competition, and in 2024, his coming-of-age feature advanced in the Sundance Development Track. Wen is currently represented by CAA.
